Descrizione del progetto

The best time to teach children democratic principles such as justice, cooperation, importance of rules and laws is at secondary school years. Especially 12 -14 aged children are more willing to learn these concepts; political behavior and self-awareness begin to emerge in this period. The attitudes of adult people to civil affairs, their interest in developments in the World and in their participation in democracy set as example for children. With this project, we aim to teach students about civic responsibilities, such as voting and participating in community life within the framework of democratic values; we strive to provide students with basic democratic values such as solidarity, respect, equality, tolerance and further instill in students fundamental democratic values like freedom, respect, tolerance, equality, solidarity. Although the decisionmaking mechanism of young people is legal, this behavior is not sufficient to strengthen participation. We need to raise children’s aware

Expected Results

All individual paths will be documented on the platform. One of the objectives of the project is to train the participant spirit of the students, to participate in the life of the society and to contribute to their development in the medium and long term. In this context, the project will result in a closer link between the school and the local community and will connect with local NGOs, where we will have joint initiatives in the future. Schools will be more active actors in the local community. In addition, schools will develop curriculum offers with the new Democracy and Citizenship curriculum that will be used in the coming years. While this will make us different from other schools in the region, we will also encourage us to use other schools.
